Meet Ditch, Your Next Governor
My name is Adam Kurtz, though my friends call me “Ditch.” You can call me Ditch.
I am a musician - I play pedal steel guitar and stand-up 6-string guitar in country bands all around the country and world. I even have tens and tens of followers on Spotify.
I am running for Governor of Tennessee.
I am running because I want to have a government that cares about you the people, and works to make sure all families, all communities, all of our citizens have the best chance to live a great, AFFORDABLE life. Everyone seems to hate politicians, and that’s because politicians are thought to be as out of touch as a zebra escapee in Rutherford County. I don’t care what party they are in, none of them seem to be working for us, THE PEOPLE. So let’s get someone by the people, for the people. I’M A PEOPLE.
I WANT TO MAKE LIFE AFFORDABLE for you, your family, and your community.
Instead of working to take away healthcare in order to give rich people more money (stupid and cruel!), when I am Governor, I will:
Raise MINIMUM WAGE
Free HEALTHCARE for everyone
Invest heavily in our PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Improve public TRANSPORTATION
Legalize MARIJUANA
Create real-world JOB TRAINING programs
Provide free PRE-K education and CHILD CARE
Create affordable HOUSING
Maybe a statewide MONORAIL system. Maybe.
But most importantly, I WILL LISTEN. I’m a musician, so I literally listen for a living.
Government is supposed to be on your side, not be the enemy. When I am Governor, you will be represented by someone from the actual community who knows what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck or, in my case, gig pay to gig pay.
I’m not a career politician working my way up the ladder by stepping on the citizens of Tennessee in order to achieve supreme executive power - I’m a real life human being (I’ve been told) who sees a call to action. If you want a good compassionate person in charge, sometimes you have to do it yourself.
Plus, caring is cool. Karing is Kool? When did it stop being cool to care about others?
That starts up again with Ditch for Governor.
Want to join the team?
This will be the grassiest grassroots campaign of all time. We will not accept any corporate money, instead relying on you - the small donors. Isn’t it time we had integrity in the State House? I have this funny thing about corruption: I don’t like it. I’m not running for Governor in order to enrich myself. I want to help people in Tennessee.
Please consider a donation or getting some of our “I’m a People” merch to support. Every little bit helps.
